# Community of Curious Minds

> A community of everyday thinkers in Dubai (and online globally) exploring philosophy of mind, morality, consciousness, and art. No academic background required — just an open mind and a hunger for honest dialogue.

The site is built on PHP with a MySQL database. It includes a public-facing website and a private admin CMS. The community meets in person in Dubai and online for weekly philosophy discussions.

- [Philosophy Cards](https://curious-minds.co/cards): A mobile-first card deck of hundreds of philosophical conversation- and discussion-starter questions, filterable by category and searchable. The same prompts used at in-person meetups. Each card has its own shareable page at `/cards/{slug}`. Signed-in members can rate cards (👍/👎), add emoji reactions, comment and reply to each other, and submit their own questions (admin-approved before they appear publicly).

Members get a profile (display name + photo) and can rate, comment on, and submit philosophy cards, with in-app notifications when someone replies to or reacts to their comments. Accounts are not required to browse the site.
